CAsi soy yo!AJC'est moi! This is me.

I'm a first generation American born to Haitian parents. Purebred Caribbean.   I'm the first of my line of cousins to be born in the US, they all born in Europe.  It's given me incredible pause, and more perspective than I  can even express.

I'm not from anywhere in particular, I've lived in most of the major US metropoli, and feel most comfortable in small international cities, or remote rural spaces.  All or nothing, and take that in whichever way seems applicable.  I was born in Chicago, and currently reside in beautiful San Francisco.  In between were Atlanta, New Orleans, SF part one, Chicago part two, and New York.  To say that I've got a curious mind, and have a bit of wanderlust is the understatement of the year.

I always enjoyed writing and being creative in school.

I loved and still love singing, crafting, painting, dance...

I let the terrorists win when I changed my major in 2001 from International Relations and French to Finance reacting to the news of those days.

Following survival and not passion gave me a chance to work a slew of different career paths.  I took opportunities just to try, just to see.  It's been good to me . It's been a challenge for me.  I worked in legal services, event production, viticulture, technical recruiting, advertising, and social media.

None of those careers addressed my aptitude or passion which has resulted in a liberating professional reset that has flourished thanks to the company I keep and my lust for life, magic, balance, love, music, and responsibility. Also thanks to some good survival training, education, and life lessons from my mother.

I'm filling my brain with as much goodness as it can retain, striving to skim the good from the experiences I encounter everyday.

My end goal is to live fully every day to the best of my ability, and leave some kind of legacy, big or small, so that when the memory  of the sound of my voice and my physical body are long gone, that some kind of impact for the betterment of the world at large remains.

All of this is my bottom line, my manifesto, my mission statement, my hope, my pain, my dream, my burden, my joy, my debt,  and my gift.
